Terms of use

The basis on which this website and the material published on it are made available. Written in plain language and kept short.

Effective August 2026 · Common Practice Advisory Ltd.

01Using this site

This website is published by Common Practice Advisory Ltd. By using it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

02Information, not advice

Everything on this site is published for general information. It does not constitute professional, legal, tax, financial, engineering, valuation, investment or regulated transaction advice, and it does not create an advisory relationship.

Advice is given only under a signed engagement, to the client named in it, on the facts examined in it.

03Case studies and evidence labels

Every case on this site carries an evidence classification. Those labels mean what they say:

  • A client engagement or anonymized engagement is commissioned work; where a client is not named, it is because the engagement is confidential.
  • An independent applied study is work Common Practice carried out on its own initiative. It is not commissioned, and no sponsor, client or endorsement is claimed or implied.
  • A capability model describes a method that has been developed but not yet delivered as a specific commissioned engagement.

Case material describes what was built and what the analysis established. It does not assert transaction closure, asset ownership, valuations, procurement outcomes or realized returns.

04Models, tools and figures

REIV Structurer and the other tools shown on this site are decision-support instruments. The public demonstration runs on sample data, and its outputs are indicative model results, not transaction-grade findings and not a valuation.

Figures shown in demonstrations and case material depend on the assumptions and evidence stated alongside them. They should not be relied on for an investment, funding, procurement or commitment decision.

05Boundaries of our practice

Common Practice is not transaction counsel and is not an engineering, architecture or valuation practice. Where an assignment requires regulated transaction advice, legal opinions, independent valuation, architecture, engineering or specialist tax work, we structure the analysis and work with appropriately qualified partners.

Certifications described anywhere on this site as in progress are in progress and are not represented as awarded.

06Intellectual property

The text, design, diagrams, frameworks and models on this site belong to Common Practice Advisory Ltd. unless stated otherwise. Frameworks marked ungated may be downloaded and used within your organization, with attribution retained. Reselling, sublicensing or presenting the material as your own is not permitted.

07Third-party links

Links to other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

08Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of error, and we may change or remove material at any time.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on material published on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

09Governing law

Common Practice Advisory Ltd. is established in Canada. These terms, and any dispute arising from the use of this website, are governed by the laws of Canada.

10Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
